Rapiscan EagleŽ PA3000

The Rapiscan Eagle PA3000 is a high-energy X-ray system for inspecting cargo on pallets or in air cargo containers. With a maximum tunnel opening of 2,500 mm x 3,000 mm, it is capable of scanning even the largest air cargo containers. The powerful 3 MV linear accelerator X-ray source combined with Rapiscan Systems’ imaging technology achieves 250 mm
of equivalent steel penetration. The Rapiscan Eagle PA3000 is designed to support a busy cargo operation. In 1 hour it can scan 80 ten-foot long pallets or 160 LD3 containers. Inspectors use Rapiscan’s easy-to-use Cargo Viewer software to display and evaluate the X-ray images. As a cabinet X-ray system, the Rapiscan Eagle PA3000 is safe to use within existing facilities.

The Rapiscan Eagle PA3000 products are available with an optional Rapiscan VEDS (Vehicle Explosive Detection System) neutron inspection system, which automatically detects the presence of explosives and drugs. With the fully integrated VEDS system, suspicious objects seen in the X-ray image can be subjected to neutron inspection to confirm the presence of a target material. The addition of the VEDS option expands the nonintrusive cargo inspection capability, which reduces the need for time-consuming manual inspection.
